Gospel of Thomas

THe gospel of Thomas has lots of errors here is one for example

In 1 Cor 2:9, Paul paraphrases Isaiah:

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.”

Now consider Thomas 17:
“Jesus said, ‘I shall give you what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never occurred to the human mind.'”

This webpage explains in great detail what is wrong with the Gospel of Thomas https://carm.org/does-the-gospel-of-thomas-belong-in-the-new-testament

ReSponse to Muslims-Crucifixion

For very weird reasons you didn’t post Leviticus 17:11 which is a clear statute of God that commands shedding of blood and this is specifically for atonement for the soul.

This very same verse is echoed in Hebrews 9:22

This was the major statute of God.

Deuteronomy 24:16 does NOT apply here for the following reasons:

This is a communal law that governed the way people lived in Israel.

You clearly missed the plural words “fathers”, “sons”, ” children “.

No one is being asked to die for anyone except the Lord Jesus Christ who right from the beginning was foretold that He would die for the sins of mankind.

The Lord Jesus Christ is Almighty God who came in the form of a human being….so this doesn’t apply one bit.

John 1:1

John 1:14

The Lord Jesus Christ is the only person who was sent to die for humanity. As the Messiah that was His sole mission.

Zechariah 12:10

John 19:34-37

So there are no fathers being put to death for their children and vice versa.

Furthermore, it is quite interesting that you will quote the Apostle Paul who preached that the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified, died and resurrected.

1 Corinthians 1:23

Galatians 2:20

Hebrews 5:7 says God heard Him, but you need to continue reading to Hebrews 6:6, then read Hebrews 9 & 10 which clearly shows that the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and died.

So Hebrews 5:7 is just saying that God heard His supplications but not to stop Him from being crucified and dying, but to make Him the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him

Hebrews 5:9

There is nothing imperfect about the Holy Bible….. The only imperfection is from you and your warped way of reasoning.

Lastly it is another proof of the sheer hypocrisy of islam to criticise the same Holy Bible it claims to have prophecies about Muhammad.

If the Holy Bible is ” imperfect ” like you claim, then why do you muslims love to quote the same Holy Bible to prove the authenticity of Muhammad and the Quran? That makes you abduls the worst kind of hypocrites don’t you think?

God CreAted Light before the Sun

The grammar of the verse does not support such a reading. The main verse in question is Genesis 1:16, which is:

The first grammatical problem is that the word מאור (ma’or) which appears three time in the verse is not the same as the word אור (or), meaning “light” as in Genesis 1:3. The word מאור in Genesis 1:16 has a mem (מ) prefix, meaning something that gives light, a source of illumination rather than light itself. This distinction is critical to correct understanding of the verse but is not apparent in any of the main English translations because in English there is no distinction between “light” meaning light itself and “a light” meaning a lamp or source of illumination. Only Young’s Literal Translation comes close to providing this distinction:

And God maketh the two great luminaries, the great luminary for the rule of the day, and the small luminary — and the stars — for the rule of the night.
The second grammatical problem is the form of the verse, which is

God made two: this one and that one
This is a common form in the OT, for example, Exodus 29:38-39 (KJV):

Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually. The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:
No one would suggest that this form indicates that the two lambs (or two sources of light) could be identical

Luke 9:22 Destroys Islam Argument

Thats rubbish Paul was appointed by God to spread the gospel. There is no evidence in the Bible that Paul was ruled by Satan.

The one verse that compledly destroys your argument and destroys Islam is
Luke 9:22
“The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.”

There are no errors in John gospel, In fact John’s gospel does not disagree with Lukes at all.

Jesus said he is God, he was also worshipped when he was on earth.

There is no salvation in Islam, the only way is through Jesus

Did the people in the Bible have last names

Question: “Did the people in the Bible have last names?”

Answer: People in Bible times did not really have last names like we think of last names today. They frequently went by something similar to “Simon, son of Jonah” (Matthew 16:17). The phrase “son of Jonah” identified Simon as a different Simon than all the other Simons by this family connection. This functioned very close to a last name. Today, our last names use the same distinction. John Smith identifies John as a part of the Smith family.

Sometimes a person was identified by his tribe, such as “Aaron, the Levite” (Exodus 4:14), which differentiated that particular Aaron from the Aarons in other tribes. In the same way, Jesus was called Jesus of Nazareth to indicate His hometown (Matthew 26:71; John 18:5). Others in biblical times used their occupations as a functional last name, such as “Simon the tanner” (Acts 10:6). “Tanner” wasn’t his last name, but a way to distinguish him from other Simons in the area who had a different occupation. Judas Iscariot’s name was given to him to designate his native place, Carioth, or Kerioth, a small town in the tribe of Judah. Matthew, one of the Twelve and author of the gospel bearing his name, refers to himself as “Matthew the tax-collector” (Matthew 10:3), which reveals not only his occupation, but the astounding fact that even someone as lowly and despised as a tax collector could be chosen by Jesus to become His follower.

We sometimes think the name “Jesus Christ” refers to His first and last names. But it really means “Jesus, who is the Christ / Messiah.” Originally, the title took the form of “Jesus, the Christ,” but it has become common usage to shorten His name to Jesus Christ. This holy name means “Jesus, the Christ who is the Messiah, the anointed one who saves His people from their sins.”

We are not told who Matthew was the son of so its probably was not important

Did the people in the Bible have last names2

Did the people in the Bible have last names?

People in the Bible did not tend to have last names unless they were associates of others with the same first name. Even when surnames were given, they were not specifically family names. They were used to identify ethnicity (Doeg the Edomite of 1 Samuel 21:7), parentage (John and James, the sons of Zebedee in Matthew 10:2), or place of residence (Mary Magdalene in Matthew 27:56). Sometimes women were even identified by the names of their sons (also Matthew 27:56).

One name in the Bible that commonly causes confusion is that of Jesus Christ. “Christ” is not Jesus’ last name; it is the Greek translation of the Hebrew Messiah, or anointed/chosen one. It is the same as “Christ Jesus,” and has the same form as “Lord Jesus” or “King Richard.” It is an identifier of a position, not a personal name.

Other Bible characters that seemed to have last names:

– Judas Iscariot: The origin of “Iscariot” is unknown, but it is not a family name; it distinguishes him from Thaddaeus who was also called “Judas the son of James” (Luke 6:16).

– Simon bar Jonah (John 1:42): This is the traditional Hebrew name of Simon Peter; “bar” means “son of” and identifies him as the son of Jonah.

– Mary Magdalene: “Magdalene” identifies this Mary as from the town of Magadala and distinguishes her from the many other Marys in Jesus’ life.

– Simon the tanner (Acts 10:32): “Tanner” is not a last name, but an occupation; it distinguishes him from other Simons in the church.

– Simon the Zealot (Matthew 10:4): This was another disciple of Jesus; “zealot” identifies his political affiliation and distinguishes him from Simon Peter.

– James and John, the Sons of Thunder (Mark 3:17): Although James and John are also called “sons of Zebedee,” Jesus thought “sons of thunder” more accurately described their personalities

Do Muslims Really Love Jesus

DO MUSLIMS REALLY LOVE JESUS?

Let’s remind ourselves of the Muslim version of Jesus.

According to Muhammad, Jesus taught Islam for several years to his followers. Allah promised Jesus that his true followers would be “superior to those who disbelieve” (3:55) and “dominant” (61:14).

But then Allah made it looked like he was crucified. He wasn’t, but it looked like he was. Unfortunately, Allah didn’t tell anyone. Jesus also forgot to tell anyone that he didn’t die. So everyone believed it. There is no record of anyone in history who followed Jesus who believed that he didn’t die.

Rather than have Jesus’s followers tell the world that he didn’t die, and record this (and Jesus’s true teachings) in their writings for later generations, Jesus’s own closest followers were tricked into spreading the false idea that Jesus died.

More than that, for some reason, they *all* started saying that Jesus was God and should be worshipped. They all completely forgot what Jesus actually said (including, apparently, when Jesus told them the name of the next prophet). Four of them wrote down four separate accounts of Jesus’s life, which invented teachings and actions of Jesus that he never said or did. These writings convinced thousands, then millions, then billions of people that Jesus is God in the flesh, and that he died and rose from the dead. After inventing this religion, they were all prepared to die (and a few did actually die) for it.

Jesus had given them a book, the true Gospel, but in spite of the fact that they worshipped Jesus as God, they all threw the book away immediately. There is no trace whatsoever of this book in history.

So, Christianity – the largest false religion the world has ever seen – is Jesus’s fault or Allah’s deception? If he’d taught his followers properly, and remembered to tell them that he didn’t actually die, Christianity wouldn’t have happened. Allah waited over 550 years to send another prophet to try to clean up Jesus’s mess, by which time there were over over 20 million Christians in the world. But unfortunately, even 1400 years after Muhammad, there are still hundreds of millions more Christians in the world than Muslims.

That’s how Islam “honours” Jesus.”

Deuteronomy 24-16 and Ezekiel 18-20

First of all, Jesus did not die for the sins of His family only, but the whole world (John 3:16). In addition, He was sinless (2Corinthians 5:21). So comparing what Jesus did, to Deuteronomy 24:16 and Ezekiel 18:20, is irrelevant.

Secondly, as Christians, these passages are irrelevant to us since we are not under the Law of Moses (Romans 6:14, 10:4; John 1:17). Jesus paid the penalty for our sins.

Both these passages are from the Old Testament (the Torah and the prophets) which means that they were for those who were “under the law”.

Deuteronomy 24:16 is part of the Torah itself and Ezekiel 18:20 is addressing the Israelites who were living under the Torah. That is, the context of these verses is the Torah and not the Qur’an. If we want to understand the verses we need to understand some basics about the Torah.

When somebody living under the Torah sinned they were responsible for what they had done, but if they repented they could be forgiven by a sacrifice that would bear their sin before God. The Torah explains this:

He must bring as his offering for the sin he committed a female goat without defect. He is to lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place of the burnt offering. Then the priest is to take some of the blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. He shall remove all the fat, just as the fat is removed from the fellowship offering, and the priest shall burn it on the altar as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. In this way the priest will make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven. ” Leviticus 4:28-31, NIV

For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life. ” Leviticus 17:11, NIV

The Torah teaches individual responsibility and forgiveness through a substitute sacrifice that bears our sin. That exactly was what Jesus did, He died in our stead. He was the sacrifice for the whole world sins on that cross.

In the book of the prophet Ezekiel we see this idea as well.

(The priests) will put the most holy offerings (there) ” the grain offerings, the sin offerings and the guilt offerings ” for the place is holy. ” Ezekiel 42:13, NIV

Therefore Muslims are not reading Deuteronomy 24:16 or Ezekiel 18:20 in their context (which is not news to me since that’s the only way for them to attack the Bible which by the way was confirmed by their own false prophet Muhammad to be authentic ” Qur’an 3:3). These verses are not saying there is no sacrifice that can bear our sin. Instead they are saying that we are individually responsible for our sins and need to seek forgiveness through God’s provision of a substitute sacrifice that can bear our sin. These verses do not support Islam at all; instead they confirm what Christianity teaches.

The blood of those animals, however, couldn’t permanently wash away sins; they could only cover their sins for a year, that’s why He offered His only begotten Son to shed His spotless, undefiled blood to be the ultimate sacrifice, not only for those who are under the Torah but also the whole world:

11. But Christ having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, 12. nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption. 13. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh: 14. how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15. For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16. For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him who made it. 17. For a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives. 18. Therefore even the first covenant has not been dedicated without blood. 19. For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20. saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.” 21. Moreover he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry in the same way with the blood. 22. According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission. ” Hebrews 9:11-22, WEB

Do you believe God lied

1 Do you believe God lied when he said he would come as a man to defeat Satan

2 Do you believe Jesus lied when he said he will die and had died

3 If Jesus did not die according to Islam, then who died on the cross.

4 If Jesus did not die on the cross then why did God wait 600 years until Christianity had spread all over the know world to tell us this.

5 Who were the witnesses to Mohammad testimony? This is important because God said

One witness is not enough… A matter MUST be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.” (Deuteronomy 19:15

And ~

“Every matter MUST be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”” (2 Corinthians 13:1)
