3rd person

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John……..is written in the 3rd person by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John because it is an eyewitness account of the Ministry of Jesus Christ. Not the ministry of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John isn’t writing about their lives…….their accomplishments….their teachings……they is writing about Jesus Christ.

50 Reasons Muhammed Was Not A Prophet

50 REASONS MUHAMMED WAS NOT A PROPHET! IT IS A SERIOUS MATTER!
Why should the entire world reject Muhammad as a prophet? Here are 50 reasons, arranged by category ( Note there are more for the purposes of space let’s take this)
MUHAMMAD’S SPIRITUAL PROBLEMS
When Muhammad began receiving revelations, his first impression of these revelations was that they were demonic.
Muhammad was so traumatized by his encounter with “Gabriel” that he repeatedly tried to commit suicide by hurling himself off a cliff.
According to Muslim sources,
Muhammad once delivered a revelation from the devil (the “Satanic Verses”).
Muhammad claimed that he was a victim of a magic spell that gave him delusional thoughts and false beliefs.
MUHAMMAD’S PROBLEMS WITH PAGANISM AND IDOLATRY
Islam promotes idolatry (e.g., bowing down to the Kaaba and kissing the black stone). Islam promotes pagan rituals (e.g., the pilgrimage to Mecca).
Islam deifies Muhammad by requiring unconditional obedience to him and by requiring Muslims to talk to him during their daily prayers.
MUHAMMAD’S PROBLEMS WITH VIOLENCE
After leaving Mecca, Muhammad supported his religion by robbing people.
Muhammad ordered his followers to torture a man named Kinana to find out where some money was hidden. Muhammad then had Kinana killed, and took his wife for himself.
Muhammad commanded his followers to kill critics of Islam.
Muhammad ordered his followers to kill apostates, even if they had good reasons for leaving Islam.
The Qur’an commands Muslims to violently subjugate Jews and Christians. MUHAMMAD’S SCIENTIFIC PROBLEMS
The Qur’an claims that stars are missiles that Allah uses to shoot demons. The Qur’an claims that the sun sets in a pool of murky water.
Muhammad’s teachings about personal hygiene would lead to death if Muslims took them seriously.
Muhammad claimed that Gabriel explained to him why children look like one parent or the other. Gabriel’s answer is completely false.
MUHAMMAD’S EVIDENTIAL PROBLEMS
When Muhammad was too shy to tell his dinner guests to leave, Allah stepped in with a special revelation that should make everyone wonder whether Muhammad’s revelations really have anything to do with God.
The Qur’an declares that Christians find Muhammad mentioned in our scriptures. Yet our scriptures call Muhammad an antichrist.
In the Qur’an, Allah promises to kill Muhammad by severing his aorta if Muhammad invents a false revelation. When Muhammad died, he said he could feel his aorta being severed.
The Qur’an contains a prophecy that wasn’t fulfilled.
The Qur’an presents a test for divine inspiration, but fails the test.
The central argument for the inspiration of the Qur’an is the “Argument from Literary Excellence,” which is absurd on multiple levels.
The author of the Qur’an doesn’t know that Miriam, the sister of Aaron and Moses, is a different person from Mary, the mother of Jesus (because their names are the same in Arabic).
The Qur’an claims that Alexander the Great and Aesop were devout Muslims.
Allah promises to protect the Qur’an from corruption, but the Qur’an has been corrupted (by Muslim standards).
Muslims believe that the Qur’an is Allah’s eternal Word. Yet Allah repeatedly changes his eternal mind about his eternal Word via abrogation.
The Qur’an is missing at least two verses in which Allah commands grown women to breastfeed grown men in order to prevent sexual misconduct.
The Qur’an contains numerous false stories that were plagiarized from other sources.
MUHAMMAD’S PROBLEMS WITH WOMEN
Muhammad allowed his followers to hire prostitutes.
The Qur’an allows Muslim men to have up to four wives at a time. But Muhammad received a special revelation giving him (and him alone) the right to break the four-wife limit.
Muhammad had sex with a prepubescent nine-year-old girl named Aisha. The Qur’an allows Muslim men to beat their wives into submission.

Islam allows Muslim men to rape their female captives and slave-girls.
Muhammad married the divorced wife of his own adopted son (after Muhammad caused the divorce), and the Qur’an offers an absurd defense of Muhammad’s actions.
When Muhammad’s wife Sauda became fat and unattractive, Muhammad intended to divorce her. Sauda had to relinquish some of her marital rights to avoid being abandoned.
After Muhammad got caught having sex with his slave girl in the bed of one of his wives, he swore that he would stop having sex with his slave-girl. Allah ordered him to break that oath.
Muhammad claimed that women are less intelligent and less moral than men.
When Muhammad’s wives asked why he was giving special privileges to Aisha, he justified his actions by saying that he received revelations while wearing Aisha’s dress!
MUHAMMAD’S THEOLOGICAL PROBLEMS
According to the Qur’an, Allah has no love for unbelievers.
According to the Qur’an, Allah is the “best of deceivers.”
According to Muhammad, Allah wants people to sin, and he threatens us with annihilation if we refuse to sin.
Since Allah would destroy us for not sinning, the true savior of humanity, according to Islam, is Satan, who tempts human beings to sin and therefore protects us from being destroyed.
Muhammad didn’t know whether he would go to heaven or hell when he died.
Islam teaches that Allah will punish Jews and Christians in hell for the sins of Muslims.
Muhammad promises his followers a paradise in which Allah will bless them with eternal erections so that they can continually deflower their virgins.
MUHAMMAD’S PROBLEMS WITH CHRISTIANITY
Islam affirms the inspiration, preservation, and authority of the Jewish and Christian scriptures, yet Islam contradicts these scriptures on a fundamental level.
Islam claims to respect and honor Jesus, yet it portrays him as a complete failure.
Muslims believe that the Gospel has been corrupted. But according to Islam, part of the Gospel was corrupted by Allah himself.
Islam reverses the Gospel by having the guilty Judas die on behalf of the innocent Jesus, rather than the innocent Jesus dying on behalf of sinners.
Christianity is confirmed by Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. Since Islam contradicts

Christianity, and has no comparable confirmation from God, we must reject Islam.

50000 Errors in the BIBLE

Muslim’s, in a desperate effort to locate any scrap that says the Bible contained errors, frequently quote from an article written by Jehovah’s witnesses with the title, “50,000 errors in a Bible”. First we point out that this non-Christian cult had just released their own Bible called “the New World translation “. It is more a sectarian paraphrase of the Bible, than a true translation, which has been universally condemned as a perversion of the original Greek and Hebrew by everyone who is not a member of this cult. Because the Greek manuscripts and English translations of all other Bibles contradicts “watchtower doctrine”, the cult had no choice but to produce a version of the Bible themselves that did teach their doctrine. So the article was written as a cheap self-serving diatribe against all other Bibles, and to provide blind praise for their newly unveiled Bible. (If we can call it that.)

Having said this, we must draw the Muslim’s attention to the fact that these alleged 50,000 errors, which are never specifically identified, exist not in the original Greek manuscripts but claimed to be in the English translations. Of course, such a statement is false, as anyone who has studied the Hebrew and Greek transmission of the Bible will tell you. Furthermore the article claims, in the voice of a deceptive used car salesman, that all these errors have been fixed in the New World translation. So for Muslim’s to quote this article as proof of corruption of the Bible, proves they have no understanding of the subject of textual transmission of the original Greek manuscripts vs. the English translations made from these Greek manuscripts.

It looks good on Jehovah’s Witnesses that the article they wrote in 1957 to trash solid translations of the Bible like the King James version, is being used by Muslim’s today to proof the New World translation contains 50,000 errors. Although the article is actually quoting a “liberal Bible trasher” (a tactic common for JW’s) the JW who wrote the article at world headquarters in Brooklyn, actually agrees there are 50,000 errors in the KJV. In fact, the New World translation is guilty of the very thing Muslim’s would love to know about. Like the fact that the New World translation actually adds words that are not found in any of the original Greek manuscripts. For example, most of the errors in the King James version that Jehovah’s Witnesses claim exist are the fact that the name of God instead of being transliterated into an unpronounceable word, was replaced by the word LORD. So English translations do not actually remove the name of God from the Old Testament but Jehovah’s Witnesses have in fact added it in their New World translation in the New Testament where it is never use in the Greek manuscripts. Here they took the Greek word from Lord and replaced it with the English word Jehovah. This kind of blind hypocrisy is typical of all Jehovah’s Witnesses. Muslim’s merely need to ask Jehovah’s Witnesses this stunning question: “Why he does the New World translation add the name Jehovah throughout the New Testament, when it is never found in any Greek manuscripts in the world? Aren’t you guilty of adding to the word of God in order to propagate your own false doctrine?”

Shortly after the article published in 1957, Bible scholars politely critiqued JW’s and refuted the claim of 50,000 errors in the KJV. Rather than retract the article, Jehovah’s Witnesses merely slithered back to Brooklyn to quietly hide while sales of their New World translation kept raking in the dough. Isn’t Satan clever! What is even more amazing, is that it is a well known fact that there was only one person on the translating committee of the NWT that could even read Greek or Hebrew. Four out of the five men on the committee had no Hebrew or Greek training at all. They had only a high school education. Franz studied Greek for two years at the University of Cincinnati, but dropped out after his sophomore year. When asked in a Scotland courtroom if he could translate Genesis 2:4 into Hebrew, Franz replied that he could not. The truth is that Franz was unable to translate Hebrew or Greek. What we are left with is a very inexperienced translating committee that twisted Scripture to make it fit the Society’s doctrine. Unlike every major translation, the NWT paraphrase was produced under a cloud of secrecy… now you know why!

Finally, Muslims think that because there are a few textual variations in the Bible, that it proves the Bible is corrupt. If we took the sum of all the 5,000 manuscripts of the Bible we will find differences ranging from a missing single letter to entire verses. I make these three important comments to my Muslim friends,

All the differences affect less than 1/10% of Scripture.
None of the textual variants change any doctrine or believe taught in the Bible. This is what Jesus meant when he said Scripture cannot be broken. The message of salvation and the kingdom of God is the same in every Bible in every country in every language in the world.
And perhaps most importantly, only Muslim’s claim the Koran contains no textual variants. Christians openly admit textual variants in the Bible, but the proof of textual variants in the Koran is devastating to Muslims for it contradicts their belief in the “unchangeable Mother book” in heaven.

It is in fact utterly dishonest and deceptive for Muslim’s to use this article to proof that the Greek manuscripts of the Bible have 50,000 errors, when all the article is claiming is a sub-standard translation process from the Greek manuscripts into the King James version. If Muslim’s cannot understand this important point, than they should not speak out of ignorance. If they do understand, which we believe they must, because we’ve explained it to them in great detail many times, than they are being dishonest and deceptive. But why would we expect Muslim’s to be any more honest than the Jehovah’s Witnesses they were quoting?

We must conclude this article by emphatically saying that the King James version is one of the most accurately translated Bibles in the world, even though there are three or four notable translation errors which have been corrected by modern translations. These would be translating Hades as hell in Luke 16; use of the word Easter and inclusion of the of the Trinitarian gloss in 1 John 5:7. We wholly recommend and endorse the King James version as an excellent translation from the original Greek.

58. What did the voice say at Jesus’ baptism? “Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mark 1:11. As the Son of God, Jesus was the one God incarnate.
59. Does the Bible say that God shed His blood and that God laid down His life for us? Yes. Acts 20:28; I John 3:16. God was able to do this because He had taken upon Himself a human body.
60. The Bible says that God is coming back with all his saints (Zechariah 14:5) and also that Jesus is coming back with all his saints (I Thessalonians 3:13). Are two coming back? No. Only one is coming back–our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13

A Jew Responds to the Muslim Call to Boycott All Things Jewish

Meyer M. Treinkman, a pharmacist, responded to the Muslim Call to Boycott All Things Jewish.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged the Muslim World to boycott anything and everything originated with Jewish people.

In response, Meyer M. Treinkman, a pharmacist, out of the kindness of his heart, offered to assist them in their boycott as follows:

“Any Muslim who has Syphilis must not be cured by Salvarsan discovered by a Jew, Dr. Ehrlich. He should not even try to find out whether he has Syphilis, because the Wasserman Test is the discovery of a Jew.
If a Muslim suspects that he has Gonorrhea, he must not seek diagnosis, because he will be using the method of a Jew named Neissner.
“A Muslim who has heart disease must not use Digitalis, a discovery by a Jew, Ludwig Traube.
Should he suffer with a toothache, he must not use Novocaine, a discovery of the Jews, Widal and Weil.
If a Muslim has Diabetes, he must not use Insulin, the result of research by Minkowsky, a Jew.
If one has a headache, he must shun Pyramidon and Antypyrin, due to the Jews, Spiro and Ellege.
Muslims with convulsions must put up with them because it was a Jew, Oscar Leibreich, who proposed the use of Chloral Hydrate.
Arabs must do likewise with their psychic ailments because Freud, father of psychoanalysis, was a Jew.
Should a Muslim child get Diphtheria, he must refrain from the ‘Schick reaction’ which was invented by the Jew, Bella Schick.

“Muslims should not permit treatment of ear and brain damage, by the work of Jewish Nobel Prize winner, Robert Baram.
They should continue to remain crippled by Infantile Paralysis because the discoverer of the anti-polio vaccine is a Jew, Jonas Salk.
“Muslims must refuse to use Streptomycin and continue to suffer Tuberculosis because a Jew, Zalman Waxman, invented the wonder drug against this killing disease.
Muslim doctors must discard all discoveries and improvements by dermatologist Judas Sehn Benedict, or the lung specialist, Frawnkel, and of many other world renowned Jewish scientists and medical experts.

“In short, good and loyal Muslims properly and fittingly should be proud to obey the Islamic boycott.” by the way, don’t call for a doctor on your mobile phone because the mobile phone was invented in Israel by a Jewish engineer.

Meanwhile I ask, what medical contributions to the world have the Muslims made to civilization?

Perhaps the world’s Muslims should consider investing more in education and less in blaming the Jews and the rest of humanity for all of their problems.

Muslims must ask ‘what can they do for humankind’ before they demand that humankind respects and supports them or tolerates their evil to humanity.

A prophet cannot die outside of Jerusalem

A prophet cannot die outside of Jerusalem. Jesus died outside of Jerusalem. Either Jesus is a false prophet or he didn’t die since the Gospels say that he died outside of Jerusalem! Checkmate Christian apologist!

We all know that Muslims like to use liberal and atheist literature on the Bible to try and cause chaos and disharmony so they can try and shoehorn their historical beliefs into the Bible. Supposed errors are thrown out to put distrust in the text so they then can then insert their 7th century beliefs. That’s essentially what happens with Luke 13:33. In the above video, we see Zakir Hussain using this argument, but other apologists have used this in the past as well; Shabir Ally for example.

Here’s the verse in question:

Nevertheless I must journey on today and tomorrow and the next day; for it cannot be that a prophet would perish outside of Jerusalem.

Jesus died outside of Jerusalem as the Bible clearly states. Does that contradict what we read in Luke 13:33. If we take this verse, take a shallow reading of the text and ignore the context, sure. However, if we look at the wider context, it makes perfect sense.

Jesus talked about how he must journey on that day and a couple of other days. He wasn’t in Jerusalem when he said this, but he needed to go there. When Jesus refers to Jerusalem, is he referring to the physical city? Unless context tells us otherwise, we should assume that it’s the physical city of Jerusalem. Is there something in the context for us to assume that Jerusalem is something else besides the physical city? There definitely is in the next verse which reads:

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it!

Is Jerusalem referring to the physical city? I don’t think so. Think about it, does the physical city of Jerusalem kill prophets and stones those sent to her? Do the homes, public buildings, city walls, and other physical structures in Jerusalem actually kill people? Absolutely not. The only way to make sense of this verse is if Jerusalem refers to the religious authorities in Jerusalem, in other words the priests, scribes, and rabbis. Those were the religious authorities in Jerusalem. Jerusalem in verse 34 refers to the religious leaders of the city and not the physical city itself.

If we take that definition for Jerusalem and fit it into the previous verse, the supposed contradiction evaporates. Let’s read it again:

Nevertheless I must journey on today and tomorrow and the next day; for it cannot be that a prophet would perish outside of Jerusalem.

What it’s saying is that Jesus cannot die outside of the authority of the Jewish religious leaders in Jerusalem. This is exactly what happened. He was condemned by the Jerusalem religious authorities and died under their order. It’s irrelevant that he died outside of the walls of Jerusalem since verse 33 isn’t referring to the physical city.

Jesus was certainly killed outside of Jerusalem, and Luke 13:33 understood in the context of Luke 13:34, doesn’t contradict that one bit. He didn’t die outside of the clutches of the religious authorities of Jerusalem. In conclusion, verse 33 doesn’t contradict the narrative that Jesus died outside of the physical city of Jerusalem.

A Virgin Shall Conceive

A Virgin Shall Conceive
Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:23

This lesson compares Isaiah 7:14 with Matthew 1:23.

We consider the words of Isaiah as quoted by Matthew, “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call his name Immanuel”(Matthew 1:23).

This is an example of a class of prophecies in the Old Testament which appear to have a dual fulfillment, that is to say they predict something to take place in the near future which symbolises something greater that will take place in the distant future. In our previous lesson we looked at the near fulfilment of this prophecy in the person of Maher-shalal-hash-baz Isaiah’s son . Now we look at its distant fulfilment in the Person of God’s Son.

1 The Virgin Birth

The birth of the Son of God was a much greater sign than the birth of Isaiah’s son. Isaiah’s son was conceived by natural procreation. The Son of God was conceived supernaturally.

Isaiah says, “I approached the prophetess and she conceived and gave birth to a son”(Isaiah 8:3) nothing supernatural in that.Matthew has something quite different to say: “Now the birth of Jesus was as follows: After his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 1:18)Luke, in his account of the birth of Jesus, confirms that Mary was a virgin when she conceived (Luke 1:26-38).

In some translations the word “almah” in Hebrew is rendered “maiden” or “young woman” rather than “virgin” (Isaiah 7:14). However, the Holy Spirit’s translation (Matthew 1:23) is the Greek word for “virgin” showing that the Holy Spirit approves of, even insists upon, using the word “virgin” (or its equivalent in the language of translation) to render the Isaiah passage when referring it to the birth of Christ.

2 Christ’s Birth as a Sign

Isaiah’s son, as we saw in our previous lesson, was born in a natural manner. Ahaz had refused to ask for a supernatural sign. So ironically he received a “sign” that was no wonder, but merely a reminder of coming doom. The Isaiah 7:14 prophecy however, in its distant fulfilment, was to be fulfilled in a miraculous manner, namely by a virgin birth.

Surely this is what one might expect of the birth of the Son of God. We would expect it to be miraculous and wonderful, far more marvellous than a normal conception and birth. Using a word other than “virgin” makes the Isaiah passage meaningless for the birth of Christ. How could it be a “sign” in the distant future for a young woman to get pregnant and to give birth due to natural causes? It would be impossible to identify the sign if the young woman got pregnant naturally like thousands of others do.

Therefore Matthew, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, translates Isaiah 7:14 using parthenos, virgin. That is what we sensibly and logically expect, a conception that is miraculous and unique. Nothing less than a miraculous conception would do, if God truly became flesh to dwell among us (John 1:1), and if the child born is truly the Son of the heavenly Father. It is not too strong to say that if we deny the virgin birth, we deny that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

3 The Christ Child’s Name

The main clue that Isaiah 7:14 has both a near and distant fulfilment, is the child’s name. Isaiah was told to call his child Maher-shalal-hash-baz meaning “swift to the booty, speedy to the prey” (Isaiah 8:1-3). The child in the prophecy however was to be called Immanuel meaning “God with us”.

After Isaiah’s son was born, Isaiah again prophesied the birth of a child, showing that he did not consider the real child of promise to be his own son, but rather the Son of God. This second prophecy is recorded two chapters further on (Isaiah 9:6-7). A most important element in this later prophecy is the development of the child’s name…

“For unto us a child is born,
Unto us a a Son is given,
And the government will be upon his shoulder,
And his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.

The increase of his government and peace
Shall not end
Upon the throne of David,
And over his kingdom,
To order and establish it
With judgment and justice,
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of Hosts
Will perform this.”
(Isaiah 9:6-7)

It is clear from this second prophecy that only One can fulfill it, the Son of God himself. The name attributed to him here is an expansion of the name Immanuel “God with us” (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23). Now such a name is obviously not appropriate for Isaiah’s son. We are confronted here with a name that no human child could wear, unless that child be the very Son of God. So Isaiah’s son was given another name, Maher-shalal-hash-baz “swift to the booty, speedy to the prey”. The name of the child of the immediate fulfilment bespoke doom.

The name of the child of the distant fulfilment bespoke hope.

accept Jesus as your Saviour

You have to accept Jesus as your Saviour to have any chance of Salvation

Romans 10:9
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Acts 2:38
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

Acts 4:12
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved

Adam and Jesus

Lets compare Adam and Jesus

Adam was created. Jesus has always existed.
Adam sinned. Jesus was never sinned.
Adam ate the fruit of sin. Jesus became the fruit of salvation.
Adam took from a tree. Jesus was put on a tree.
Adam was made from dirt. Jesus was made of Mary.
Adam died in his transgressions. Jesus died in your transgressions.
Adam and Eve disobeyed God. Jesus and Mary obeyed God.
Adam was cursed for all mankind. Jesus lifted curse for all mankind.
Adam was a taker of life. Jesus was a giver of life.
Adam had children. Jesus was celibate.
Adam was tempted by Satan. Jesus resisted Satan.
Adam stayed dead. Jesus rose again.

Adam is/was mortal and he was never part of the God combination. He was purely a created being, not a person co-equal with God.

Consider verses 11-18 in Psalm 22:
“Be not far from me, for trouble is near; For there is none to help.12 Many bulls have surrounded me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me. 13 They open wide their mouth at me, As a ravening and a roaring lion. 14 I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me. 15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And my tongue cleaves to my jaws; And Thou dost lay me in the dust of death. 16 For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me; 18 They divide my garments among them, And for my clothing they cast lots.

The term ‘dogs’ was used by the Jews to refer to Gentiles (cf. Matt. 15:21-28)
